You will see
- An award-winning olive oil estate
- The stunning scenery of Waiheke Island
- Two of the Island's top wineries
From Cruise Port: Auckland
Make sure you have booked yourself on the 9am Fullers ferry from Auckland to Waiheke Island - the scenic trip takes 45 minutes and offers a stunning cruise across the Auckland harbour past the naval dockyard of Devonport and the volcanic island of Rangitoto. Your guide will be waiting for you at the Matiatia wharf and your island tour commences with a drive along the scenic northern route, taking in spectacular views of the Hauraki Gulf and beyond to the Coromandel Peninsula.
Our most popular tour, you will visit three vineyards each offering a range of gourmet tastes to accompany their wines. Treats may include oysters straight from Te Matuku Bay, Waiheke olive oil, Waiheke honey, and artisan cheeses. Afterwards, enjoy a platter lunch at a fourth vineyard which includes a selection of meats, cheeses, bread, dips and vegetables (dietaries catered for). After lunch you will be returned to your accommodation or to the ferry back to Auckland or choose to be dropped off in Oneroa village and make your own way back when ready.
Due to seasonal availability, Te Matuku oysters may not be available but they will be substituted with another gourmet treat.
If you wish, from here you can stay on for dinner (at your own expense) and make your own way back to the ferry when you are ready or alternatively the guide will return you to the Waiheke Wharf in time to catch the 5pm ferry back to Auckland.
Our guide will return after lunch for the short transfer back to catch the 3.00pm ferry, or if you want to stay longer on the island, can drop you at Oneroa Village for you to explore on your own.
